Love is among those rare things that doesnt come with an expiry date. A few weeks ahead of Valentines Day, Koel and Jeet are all geared up to give the audience a lesson in lovology through their film, 100% Love, which is directed by Ravi Kinagi, produced by Shree Venkatesh Films and releasing today. But lip-syncing to romantic songs and delivering emotionally charged dialogues apart, how much do our celebs believe in the idea of love? Or do they feel its lust which governs people in recent times?
For Koel, the world exists because of love.
She says, I am all for true love. I believe that love makes the world go round. But then it has to be unconditional and requires 100 per cent commitment from both sides. I wont say that lust doesnt exist but then, it is a temporary feeling. She explains what the protagonists in the film feel for each other is nothing short of 100 per cent love. Theres hardly any romantic dialogue in the movie, the expression of love comes through the characters gestures. Its a very mature love story. Personally, I believe in giving my 100 per cent to every relationship in my life, be that with my friends, family or close ones, she adds.
Jeet, on his part, says, It can never be I love you a little or I love you a lot. Love has to be 100 per cent or it just isnt love. And by love, I mean the feeling that comes for not just your partner or lover or spouse, but also for your friends, family, near and dear ones. The actor says he cant equate love with lust. Love has so many beautiful shades and colours like adjustment, commitment, sacrifice, etc, that lust, which mainly stems from looks, is devoid of. While I may not be able to highlight any one instance of 100 per cent love that I may have felt in life (because there are so many), I must say the varied flavours that love has to offer are much more enticing than lust.
Director Ravi Kinagi, however, seems only too happy to reveal who his 100 per cent love was. Its my wife, Anuradha, without an iota of doubt! he says, adding, I love my wife too much. The way she supports me and my family She is my biggest encouragement. Love for me also stands for inspiration and my wife is my biggest inspiration. About lust, I dont believe in it. Love is very pure and I strongly feel, if someone is lusting after a person, then loves labour is lost.
Significantly, Anuradha is also Koels name in the film. Ask the director if it was a planned move to have that name for the female protagonist as a token of his 100 per cent love and he says, No, its just a coincidence. It wasnt planned.
